With over 20 years of experience in Los Angeles and New York, Samanta Balassa is a Composer specializing in original music for film and television. Her music has been featured in award-winning projects recognized by ASCAP, Cannes, Chicago Film Festival & London International awards.
She is the founder of Motive Music Sound, a music production company dedicated to creating original music and songs for all forms of media.
Samanta often collaborates with her partner Jeremy Adelman to deliver scores that are both cinematic and emotionally resonant.
Originally from Brazil, Samanta’s musical voice is shaped by the country’s rich harmonic and percussive traditions. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music and has lent her voice to artists including David Byrne, Bebel Gilberto and Brazilian Girls.
Samanta is known for her versatility and fresh approach to scoring, moving fluidly across genres to craft music that enhances storytelling and brings each scene to life.
